The Outlet & Sale Designer Websites You Need to Know
While you can score amazing deals buying used designer goods onilne, there are plenty of websites where you can score NEW designer clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories at prices that rival the pre-loved websites.
Below is the ever growing list of my favorite website for scoring new items at seriously excellent prices + info on the best time to buy. If you want the best deals I highly recommend you sign up for their emails to know when the best sales are happening- oh and following them on Instagram may help as well.
The Outnet
Sure you know Net-a-Porter, but do you know about their outlet website- The Outnet? With regular prices anywhere between 20-60% off you can score brand new killer items that were once for sale on Net-a-Porter.
Now 20-60% is okay right? But you’re reading this because you want some real deals. Fear not deal seeker- The Outnet regularly has clearance sales where you can get anywhere between 60-90% off (yes 90% off!) designer shoes, clothing, accessories & jewelry. Sign up for emails to be in the know of when sales hit. I also recommend downloading their app which every now and again has extra promo codes and gives you early access to sales. Keep in mind not all of their sales are created equally so I recommend taking a peak every time they happen to ensure you don’t miss out.
What’s my best find on The Outnet you may ask? Without a doubt the Jimmy Choo cage heel which I purchased for $90 in a clearance sale. Yes… $90 for $1000 Jimmy Choos. Have you downloaded the app yet?
Barney’s Warehouse
Ah Barney’s. Barney’s was the real first designer department store I ever entered (Bloomingdale’s don’t count ya’ll). Barney’s Warehouse came to my attention while in college as I tried to track down Golden Goose boots on sale. Like The Outnet, Barney’s Warehouse has prices between 20-50% off on an every day basis, with killer “warehouse” (get it?) sales every few months. Now their sales are not as great as The Outnet given the high number of “Barneys” branded apparel on Barney’s Warehouse. I still recommend signing up for emails and checking them out when major warehouse sales start, you know, just in case!
I’ve never actually made a killer find on Barney’s Warehouse that I could afford at the time BUT I did once see a pair of Golden Goose Young Boots for $300, so there certainly are finds to be had.
United Apparel Liquidators
The. Holy. Grail. I came upon this website when I was looking for a specific dress via Google search and it just happened to lead me to UAL (United Apparel Liquidator). My jaw dropped. I am really unsure why this is not more well known as it is THE BEST place to score designer clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accesories at jaw dropping prices on the entire internet. They work like a TJ Maxx but for much higher end products. Yes the deals are amazing and yes the designer items are real. How good are the deals you may be wondering? Try 90% off regularly. The catch? They usually only have one of each item in a single size which means if you are an avid deal seeker you should check out their website daily. It does not hurt to follow them on Instagram and signing up for emails is a must to know when new product hit and when extra discounts are added.
I’ve purchased MANY amazing things from ULA. My two most favorite finds were the five Chan Luu bracelets I got for my friends who are coming on my bachelorette (usually $249 full price, $125 on sale, $50 on preloved websites for… $30 each!), and a pair of Malone Souliers Maureen Heels when they were just getting popular ($625 full priced, rarely on sale, for.. $125).
Department Feminine
And now the best for last… When you first go to Department Feminine it appears to be a well curated designer boutique website with brands such as Balenciaga, Chloe, Saint Laurent, Yves Saint Laurent, and Loewe among others… So how can you save? Well somehow (and I don’t really know how because most high end designer brands do not allow companies to do this) they have promo codes that apply to all of their products on a regular basis! Sign up an account and get your first welcome email with a code for 10% off everything (at least I hope that’s still in their welcome email!). On top of promo codes end of season sales give you access to 50% off some of the most coveted handbags, clothing and shoes around.
To top it all off Department Feminine offers European prices on designer goods (it is well known in the fashion world that European prices on European fashion brands is ~10% less than what we pay in the US). AND if you are ordering from outside of the EU you don’t pay tax– yep you heard that right you can save an additional ~10%+ by not paying tax!
I mean… really following this site is a must! Sign up for an account to receive emails and access to sales, and be sure to follow on Instagram- beyond knowing what new products are hitting their site, and when sales are going on, their Instagram is just as curated and beautiful as their site it.
So my best find on Department Feminine? Well there are two one of which I returned. The one that got away (because my CC just couldn’t take another charge) was the was the Balenciaga city Metallic Edge which I got 30% off, VAT free, and at European prices – $1,400 regularly $2,200! My second, and the once I kept was a Balenciaga City Cabas tote for $800 regularly $1,500, which was the perfect addition to my trip to the Big Island of Hawaii. Two new Balenciaga bags for 50%+ off… now you can see why this is the BEST place for new designer finds at amazing prices online.
